On 05/07/03 (9:30AM) Barbie and I launched at Sunset Beach and headed for Third Beach. Once we made Third Beach, we retraced our trip along the Stanley Park Seawall and eventually made it into False Creek.[Sunset Beach ahead in the picture.] Posted by Picasa

Just off Third Beach, with Siwash Rock in the distance (we can almost see home). Posted by Picasa

Let's check out False Creek -- Burrard Street Bridge straight ahead. Posted by Picasa

Just past Granville Island we turned back. Posted by Picasa

On my Fort Langley to Abbotsford bike trip, I ventured off the TCT: there were plenty of surprises, and this was one of them. Posted by Picasa

What a placid setting at Poplar Bar! Posted by Picasa

Leaving the north beach of Buntzen Lake, toward the water outlet from Coquitlam Lake to the east (and much higher in elevation). Posted by Hello

Taking a rest on the north beach (picnic area) of Buntzen Lake. Posted by Hello

In lieu of a paddler in the front cockpit --> bottled water Posted by Hello

48 X 0.5 liter bottled water.

Without a paddler in the foreward cockpit, the Amaruk tracked very well. I was pleased with how responsive t was to the rudder.

Agriculture versus transportation... Posted by Hello

Not too much longer before we get corn-on-the-cob. Posted by Hello

Looking west in the direction of Fort Langley. Posted by Hello

OK, it's only a train... but my point is: I heard train whistles all day long as both sides of the Fraser River have rail lines, and both are busy. Posted by Hello

Typical Fort Langley-Abbotsford farm scenery. Posted by Hello

Just as there are rail lines here on the south shore of the Fraser, so there are over on the north shore (Maple Ridge - Haney) as well. Posted by Hello
